In this blog you will find the random thoughts and highlights of my every day life. Things in my day that may be funny, exciting, happy, disappointing, and sometimes sad............but through it all, my prayer is that you will see God in my life. Because without Him, nothing would matter~

Proverbs 3: 5 - 6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowlegde Him, and he will direct your paths."

We are Finally Ready

Well, I have completely neglected the blog recently. It seems like I have been extra busy lately...and Aiden has been waking up at 1:00 or 2:00 every night. So I have also been worn out!
Joe and I attended our last adoption class on this past Friday, so we are officially on the list to receive a "match." So what happens now is that we wait...we wait for a birthmother to look at the profile of our life that Joe and I put together and "like" our family. It's a very humbling experience! :) She will have a 5 page booklet that has a few pictures of our family, our son, our life with a few words written from us to her about how we will raise & love her child. We learned from our first adoption that we need patience and that we have to trust that God will bring the right child to our family. Our first adoption was a miracle and it was SO clear that God is all over this adoption thing and that he always intended Aiden to be a part of our family. Once we receive that match, we wait for the baby to be born and then we wait another ten days (the time Georgia law allows) for the birthmother to be sure this is what she wants. After that time, the baby will be ours. We are excited. We were talking to each other on our way back from our class on Friday about how much peace we both have this time around. The first time, we were both anxious and impatient and we made a lot of mistakes because of that. This time, we KNOW that God has ordained our steps to the correct agency and has prepared our hearts to trust him instead of trying to take it all in our hands and control every detail.
We may wait a week and we may wait a year....but we are okay with either one!
Please continue to pray for us that we will trust God even if things get complicated. We have experience a failed "match" before our sweet baby, Aiden, came into our lives and that is not something we wish to go through again...but it is always possible. So even if that happens, we want to keep our eyes on Jesus and trust HIS hand and HIS way.
