In this blog you will find the random thoughts and highlights of my every day life. Things in my day that may be funny, exciting, happy, disappointing, and sometimes sad............but through it all, my prayer is that you will see God in my life. Because without Him, nothing would matter~

Proverbs 3: 5 - 6

Crazy Days

Crazy Days

So...just wanted to update everyone. We are at the in-laws right now in the middle of a tropical depression. Seriously, couldn't the rain hold off until we went to the beach????

Anyway,
A lot has happened in the last 2 days. We received a call last evening telling us that the birthmom that we were waiting to hear from had her baby yesterday morning and that we were the only couple in line for this baby. It was a baby girl, healthy and ready for a mommy and daddy. There were some circumstances surrounding the pregnancy that made it impossible for the birthmom to leave with the baby. She didnt really want us to parent (because she wanted the baby to go to a home where she would be an only child) but it was basically either us or the state. So they told us they would let us know if she agreed to choose us this morning. We heard about lunchtime that she had @ first said she wanted the state to receive it....but then she changed her mind and said that she wanted to let someone adopt her...but she wanted an only child family. Another family's profile was brought in for her to see (but they also had a child) so then she decided after lunch today to let the state take the baby and she would try to work with them to parent the child. So we finally got the call tonight @ 6:30 that she did agree to a plan with Children's Services and the baby will be released to the state when she leaves the hospital. Soo....this is not our baby.

We also got the news yesterday that the birth mother due in October chose another family also because we already have a child and she wanted hers to be the first child for her couple.

So once again the roller coaster has taken us on some hills. Doing okay this time....def not as hard as the last time. Just gonna enjoy the rest of our rainy weekend and remember that God is in control and He will work all things together for our good......(no matter how hard it is or how long it takes). God is good all the time.
