In this blog you will find the random thoughts and highlights of my every day life. Things in my day that may be funny, exciting, happy, disappointing, and sometimes sad............but through it all, my prayer is that you will see God in my life. Because without Him, nothing would matter~

Proverbs 3: 5 - 6

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowlegde Him, and he will direct your paths."

FInally Posting

Okay so I am finally updating the blog. I know, I know - it's been a while. I thought I would be better at this but I NEVER have time!!! :)

I am now in month 3 of being a stay at home mommy. It has taken me this long to get into a routine but I think I am finally there! Aiden is growing so much lately and he is ALL boy! A typical day for me means loving on my sweet little boy for the two minutes I can get him to be still. He is always on the go!!! I have lost 12 pounds so far just chasing him around!

We are starting to work on potty training. We have a LONG way to go. We started the week by him pooping in the bath tub - that was fun! Today he was in the tub and told me that he needed to poop so I grabbed him up and ran to his potty but he went on the floor right as he was getting onto the potty!! That was success to me!!! :)

It seems like the terrible twos started around 16 months and are still going on....the past week has been pretty difficult. I end most days feeling like I have done nothing but put him in time out and say No No No. It makes me appreciate my Heavenly Father So much more - to know that He does the same with me over and over and never gives up or walks away for some "quiet time."
Being a mommy has taught me So much more about the Lord. What an awesoem "parent" he is.......always patient, always kind, always loving, never selfish and always gently directing our lives. I ask the Lord to give me wisdom to teach Aiden and discipline Aiden the way He would do it.........sometimes I "get" it and sometimes I feel like a failure but I know that God will always be there to help.Being a parent is for sure the hardest & most rewarding job in the world.

We also went to our first adoption class on this past Friday for baby #2. We have one more class in October and then we will be on the waiting list so we should have a baby sometime between November of this year or sometime in 2011. We are getting really excited to see the baby that God brings into our lives. Please pray with us that God will protect our child and lead them to us in His timing.

We are off to the beach next week as we visit Joe's parents for Labor Day. Looking forward to spening some time with my sweet family. I am SO blessed!!!

Because of Jesus,
Nicole
